Marta is passionate about serving our beloved community of Bellevue. Her goal is to ensure each and every student has access to a high-quality education, every family feels heard and valued, and every staff member receives the support they need to help our students thrive.

Marta’s Priorities

    • Ensure academic achievement for all students. Invest in innovative and individualized programs, including Advanced Learning, Early Learning, Career and Technical Education, Multilingual Learner Programs, Language Programs, and Special Education.

    • Support our exceptional staff through professional development, retention efforts, and building a culture of inclusion and belonging.

    • Advocate for culturally responsive curriculum and instruction, ensuring students see themselves reflected in what they learn.

    • Uphold the Bellevue School District’s vision to affirm and inspire each and every student to learn and thrive as creators of their future world.

    • Foster strong partnerships with families and community organizations.

    • Prioritize access to adequate mental health resources.

    • Ensure every student and staff member feels physically and emotionally safe at school.

    • Promote a culture of empathy and genuine care.

    • Emphasize the importance of everyone in Bellevue School District feeling valued and loved.

    • Ensure that every student has access to an equitable, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.

    • Recognize and address the diverse barriers, challenges, and needs our students face.

    • Advocate for removing obstacles to create effective learning environments for all students.

    • Hold the district accountable to its Equity and Accountability Policy and Procedures.

    • Ensure the district provides a clear, transparent view of district data, finances, resources, and how the district is using them.

    • Monitor program effectiveness to ensure focus on initiatives with the greatest impact on students and families, especially after spending reductions.

    • Advocate for increased state funding to support district priorities.
